Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is conveniently located just off the Autoroute, making it ideal for travelers like me heading to the French Alps. The modern decor and inviting atmosphere were appealing, but the normal breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Despite this, the Mercure is a spot I frequent often due to its great location and inviting ambiance.
Upon my late arrival, the room at the hotel smelt heavily of cigarettes despite being on a non-smoking floor, so I had to leave the windows wide open to get rid of the smell. The room was small but comfortable, although a bit grubby overall except for the modern bathroom.
The room we stayed in was adequate for an overnight stay with our dog, despite some issues like a lack of cups, non-functioning heating, ripped net curtains, stained heavier curtains, and an old sofa bed. The service provided involved lots of arm waving and rapid conversations but did cater to dog owners. The location, though needing redecoration, was close to Lyon airport and convenient for travelers. The dining experience included some gluten-free options but left some room for improvement. The facilities were overall satisfactory but showed signs of wear.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was excellent for heading to the Alps, but the back rooms had a strong cigarette smell and were in need of redecorating. The service was friendly, especially for dog owners, although sometimes staff seemed out of their depth in certain situations. The breakfast was good, with fresh fruits and juices, but lacked more savory options like scrambled eggs. The facilities were decent overall.
The hotel room smelled heavily of cigarettes despite being on a non-smoking floor, but it was clean and nicely decorated. The apartment in the yard was outdated and felt unclean. The staff were welcoming and helpful, except for one individual who was rude and unhelpful in a difficult situation. The location was nice but had some dusty and hazardous areas. The dining options were satisfactory with fresh bread and fruits. Overall, the hotel had some positives and negatives to consider.
